Fluorite: The Realm of Dreams is an adventure and exploration mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge, introducing a vast sky dimension filled with floating islands, colorful biomes, mysterious creatures, powerful equipment, and challenging bosses. It adds new ways to explore, build, and fight.

Inspired by the Aether and Terraria, Fluorite expands Minecraft's survival progression with environmental challenges, unique resource mechanics, and new equipment tiers.

But the Realm of Dreams isn't just another dimension to conquer. It's a world to explore, understand, and survive.

This mod has been developed by me in my spare time for over five years, turning a world once imagined in thought into a fully realized Minecraft experience.

Enter a mysterious world high above the clouds, where enormous floating islands form diverse landscapes.

Explore colorful forests, frozen regions, golden landscapes, mysterious groves, and dangerous underground environments.

Throughout your journey, discover:

Every biome offers something worth discovering.

Discover new equipment tiers, collect upgrade templates, unlock hidden vaults, and challenge increasingly dangerous enemies.

The mod features 10 bosses, with encounters tied to different stages of progression.

Some bosses provide essential upgrade materials, while others guard access to rare resources and powerful equipment.

Preparation, exploration, and understanding the dimension's mechanics are essential to overcoming its challenges.

🔥 How to Enter the Dimension

Your adventure begins in the Overworld and the Nether.

Step 1 — Collect Amber

Harvest resin from trees and smelt it into Amber Bars.

Step 2 — Explore the Nether

Travel to the Basalt Deltas and locate Pyronite Ore. Its heat makes it dangerous to mine, so cool it with a water bottle first.

Step 3 — Craft the Amber Lighter

Combine Blaze Rods, Amber, Flint, and Pyronite Clumps to create the item needed to open your gateway.

Step 4 — Build the Portal

Construct a Glowstone portal frame and ignite it with the Amber Lighter.

☁️ New Aether-Inspired Dimension: Realm of Dreams

Ascend into a mysterious sky realm filled with floating islands, unique biomes, new mobs, and hidden secrets around every corner.

☀️ Day and Night Dynamics

The Sky reacts dynamically the world around. Resources are locked behind time or weather, which you as the player are required to work with or against.

🌬️ Vanilla additions

This mod adds several new biomes, blocks and items related to the Overworld, the Nether and the End. All of them are tied to progression, contain easter eggs, or try to achieve some quality of life.

⌛ Backported Vanilla additions

Built for 1.20.1, Fluorite also includes work-in-progress backports and reinterpretations of features from newer Minecraft versions, including Happy Ghasts, Spears, and a custom Pale Garden. These additions are still in development and may change in future updates.

📜 Post-Netherite Progression

Expand your survival journey beyond vanilla limits! Discover new tiers of gear, unique weapons, and powerful armor sets designed to help you conquer the sky's toughest challenges.

Face progressively harder opponents across different biomes! Battle initial bosses for upgrade templates and challenge high-tier boss encounters to unlock secret vaults and endgame materials.

01	Tree Resin & Amber	Harvest tree resin from trees and melt it down to create Amber Bars.
02	Pyronite in Nether	Cool hot Pyronite Ore in Basalt Deltas with water to mine it. Craft the Amber Lighter using Blaze Rods, Amber, Flint, and Pyronite Clumps.
03	Dimensional Gateway	Ignite a Glowstone frame with the Amber Lighter to open the portal to the Realm of Dreams.
04	Sky Ice & Cryonite	Craft a Frost Elixir (using Warm Stones from Nether Flame creatures) to enter the freezing Sky Ice biome and harvest Cryonite.
05	Obsidian Upgrade	Use Cryonite to upgrade Netherite or Ruby equipment (found at night) into durable Obsidian gear.
06	Jade Upgrades & Bosses	Battle initial bosses to obtain upgrade templates for Jade, found in the Sky Verdant biome during the day.
07	Jade Vaults & Keys	Defeat medium-tier bosses for Jade Vault Keys, unlocking secret vaults containing Astrum crafting materials.
08	Moonlight Survival	Craft Stellar Torches using Light Essence from bosses to safely navigate and mine in the pitch-black Moonlight Biome.
09	Astrum Equipment	Mine Astrum under the protection or find it rarely in dungeons to craft the next tier of weapons and armor.
10	Solarium Endgame	Defeat the final bosses set to claim Solarium Ore. Place it in sunlight to charge and harvest the ultimate endgame gear. This is only the beginning.

Not every reward comes from defeating a boss.

The Realm of Dreams contains several kinds of landscapes, structures, materials, and decorative blocks.

Build with new resources, explore ruins, search for treasures, or simply find a place to call home.

Fluorite is designed for players who enjoy both adventure and exploration.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will Fluorite be ported to Fabric / NeoForge?

Currently, Fluorite is developed exclusively for Forge (1.20.1). Fabric/NeoForge ports are currently not planned.

Can I include Fluorite in my Modpack?

Yes! Feel free to include Fluorite in any public or private modpack. (A link back to this page is appreciated!)

Is this mod compatible with Shaderpacks?

Yes, most shaders work great. For custom skybox shaders, ensure your shaderpack supports custom dimension skies.

Fluorite began as a personal dream of creating a new world within Minecraft.

Inspired by the sense of discovery offered by the Aether, I started developing my own dimension, combining exploration, survival, progression, and challenging encounters.

Over more than five years of development in my spare time, that idea slowly became Fluorite: The Realm of Dreams.

This project continues to grow, and every player who explores the dimension becomes part of its journey.
